The 2014 awards season continues this Wednesday 19th Feb with the highly anticipated BRITs. Celebrating the best of pop music, the BRIT Awards is the biggest event in the British Music Industry’s calendar, also known as the UK’s equivalent to the Grammys.
For the fifth and final time, the BRITs longest serving presenter, James Corden will take to the stage and guide us through the ceremony. The show is also set to feature performances by Arctic Monkeys, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and an exciting collaboration by Disclosure and Lorde – not forgetting Pharrell, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental and many more.
With this year’s nominations recently being released, the anticipation leading up to the event has well and truly kicked in. Will Macklemore follow in the suit of their impressive sweep at the Grammys by taking the award for International Group? Will Tom Odell steal the award for British Breakthrough and who will take home MasterCard’s British Album of the Year?
Finally, as we all know, along with award ceremonies come red carpets and along with red carpets comes fashion. We can’t wait to see the red carpet looks chosen by some of the biggest names in the music industry!
The 2014 BRIT Awards will take place on February 19 at London’s O2 Arena and will be live on ITV1 at 8pm.
